Witch Insight(inside)

too tired to carve a pumpkin
but the candy is in the wooden bowl,
the candle in the windlight flickers
a beaconed soldier for wandering spirit patrol
weird…the kid’s don’t ring the bell
for the trick nor the treat
haven’t seen any small goblins
oh well, guess I have to tally in a defeat.
one may suffer a crisis
life threatening illness, trauma, or a flip flop of the same ol’ thing
doesn’t mean that life shouldn’t hold promise
doesn’t mean that the phone shouldn’t ring.
gotta keep movin’ on
continue to sing
put on that music
breathe in the fresh air
look for tomorrow
for all that it brings…

on this weird Halloween night
one thing is clear to me.
looking forward to thanksgiving, christmas
and come spring, honey waiting to be made
in the hive of other bees.

  1. ” . . . doesn’t mean that life shouldn’t hold promise/doesn’t mean that the phone shouldn’t ring/gotta keep movin’ on/continue to sing . . .” love these lines, good words to live by–there’s honey for everyone . . .

  2. mmmm, good stuff. I love this, too.
